Seniors 2012 - Hough's First Graduating Class



Justin Joseph Aponte

Is the son of Rick and Lucy Aponte.

He has played in band for 8 years on trumpet, percussion

and horn. He has performed with the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Pit Orchestra, Jazz Band and Marching Band.

He also marched with the Revelation Percussion Ensemble for the last two years. In the fall he plans to attend Western Carolina University.

 

Madeline Miller Farr

Is the daughter of Beth and Brian Farr. She is finishing her 7th year of band. She has played percussion and flute in the Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Marching Band.

She also marched with Revelation Percussion Ensemble for the last two years. She plans to attend Appalachian State University and major in Music Industry Studies with a concentration in recording and production.

 

Daniel Christopher Higinson

Is the son of Don and Donna Higinson.

He has played in the trumpet in band for 7 years.

He has performed with the Symphonic Band and Concert Band. He plans to attend College and find a job.

 

Kevin Patrick Husslebee

Is the son of Karen Klemm and Scott Husselbee.

He has played in band for 7 years playing percussion and trombone. He has performed with the Symphonic Band and Concert Band. He plans to attend UNC Wilmington in the Fall.

 

Nicholas Jordan Locke

Is the son of Frederick and Deborah Locke

He has played guitar and percussion in various jazz related bands for 6 years. He has performed with the Concert Band and Jazz Band. He also performs outside of school in a rock band called the Sunday Finale. He has been recognized as the most outstanding jazz musician for all his years in high school. He will attend UNC Wilmington in the fall majoring in Jazz Studies. He plans to become a Jazz Educator.

Nick would like to thank Mr. Carrington for taking a lot of his personal time for the kids and for inspiring him on a daily basis. We all love and appreciate you so much more than you realize.

 

Marshall Rigney Marcela

Is the son of Mike and Marsha Marcela

He has played in band for the last 7 years on trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion. He has performed with the Concert Band, Symphonic Band and marched at North Mecklenburg. He has been recognized as the most improved band member in 9th grade and The Espirit Des Corps Award in 11th Grade. He is going to Western Carolina University to study Special Education to follow in the footsteps of his parents. He hopes to become an educator for children who are impacted by autism.

 

Austin Garrett Miles

Is the son of Marcy and Erik Miles

He has played trumpet in the band for 7 years.

He has performed with the Concert Band and Symphonic Band. He will be attending UNC Charlotte in the fall and majoring in Criminal Justice.

 

Jonathan Michael Osipovitch

Is the son the Marc and Lisa Isler

He has participated in band for 7 years playing percussion, piano, Trumpet and drum set. He has performed with the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Pit Orchestra and Marching Band. He has also marched with the Revelation Percussion Ensemble. He plans to attend UNC Charlotte in the fall to obtain a degree in civil engineering.

 

Lauren Elizabeth Russell

Is the daughter of Mary Kay and Scott Russell

She has been in band for 7 years.

She plays trumpet, guitar, and bass and also sings.

She performs with several area bands outside of school.

She was recognized with the Band Spirit award in 9th Grade.

Her future plans are attend the University of Alabama to study Music Administration.

 

The great and powerful Lauren would like all of you civilians to know that she s so proud to have been a part of such a superior band. Her last two years of high school have been made memorable in large part to thanks to all of you. She looks forward to college but will cherish the great musical foundation she learned here. She will be sure to visit again in the future if you guys keep being awesome. Thank you for everything OH and Roll Tide.

 

Andrew Paul Sheets

Is the son of Jerald Sheets

He has been in band for 7 years playing the Euphonium and Trombone. He has performed in the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band and Marching Band. He also has been a member of the Atlanta Corps Vets, The South Paulding High School and Middle School Bands. His future plans are attend a community college and then transfer to a four year university.

 

Chezia Magee Tarleton

Is the daughter of Cass Harris, Craig Harris, and Randy Tarleton She has been in band for 7 years and piano for 14 years. She plays the trumpet, Piano, Tuba Horn and Mellophone. She has participated in the Symphonic Band, Concert Band and Marching Band. She has been accepted at Duke and UNCC. She plans to major in Pre-Med and then attend medical school. She wishes to dedicate her musical performances to her beloved sister Tanna Preston.

 

Maxwell Taylor

Is the son of Donna Taylor

He has played in band for 8 years on Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba. He has performed with the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Pit Orchestra. He plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in Business.
